Soberanes is the Digital & Design Manager at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier. He leads all in-park design across signage, large decals, 3D-modeled games, restaurant and storefront branding, ride updates, uniforms, photography, videography, and campaigns. Since SC Holdings acquired the park, he has focused on team expansion, a new Funhouse, new games, and capital improvements. He partnered with Zan-Inc and chef James Kent on Snackville, producing five new food units. In 2023, his Goodbye, Sea Dragon campaign was covered by the LA Times, KTLA, and FOX LA.
He also serves as a Creative Project Manager for the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He managed creative assets and web production for the statewide California Festival in collaboration with the San Francisco Symphony, oversaw the design and structure of The First 100 Years NFT collection in 2022, and edits the LA Phil podcast, Upbeat Live.
In late 2023, Soberanes worked with Adidas as a Media & Accessories Designer on the Adidas x Marvel x Sony Spider-Man 2 collaboration, contributing accessory design across hats, eyewear, socks, bags, and belts, and creating digital and in-store marketing assets.
Earlier, he was an Audio Visual Design Specialist at The Walt Disney Family Museum, where he designed and integrated AV systems for permanent galleries and special exhibitions, collaborated on facility upgrades for reopening, and produced a 30-minute documentary for the museum’s marketing team. Before that, he recorded more than 500 concerts as a recording engineer at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and contributed research to Kanye West’s DONDA on stage design and materials.
Outside his staff roles, Soberanes develops independent work, including the ballet The Suffocation of Idols (2018), the album Mi Sangre, Su Sangre (2018, with Moya Gotham), and essays on art theory. He is currently developing Procopio, a black-and-white short film set in the Mojave Desert that examines the 1870s bandit through historical, psychological, and spiritual lenses.
